WTI: After the Downward Move, Now Long?

In our analysis from February 19, 2025, WTI remained under pressure, with a potential target around $65. This level has now been reached – is this the turning point for an upward move?

From a fundamental perspective, the downtrend could still continue. Factors such as the geopolitical situation surrounding the Ukraine-Russia conflict, China’s economic development, and potential political actions under Donald Trump could further impact the oil market.

From a technical standpoint, there are now initial opportunities for a recovery. A rebound of $3–$4 towards the $70 region seems plausible. However, any long positions below the recent lows around $65 should be approached with caution.
